Currently showcased at BEYOND THE STREETS in Los Angeles is PINK CLOUD, featuring a prestigious lineup of artists previously highlighted in Juxtapoz, including Todd James, a two-time cover artist. Todd has works on paper available for purchase, which you can find here!

Born in 1969, Todd James began his artistic journey in the early 1980s, creating graffiti on New York City’s subways under the pseudonym REAS. Influenced by cartoons, he often infused politics and humor into his pieces. Unlike many of his peers, he developed a strong sense of design early on, allowing him to transition smoothly between graffiti, commercial art, and fine art. His works have been displayed in galleries and museums worldwide, including the Venice Biennale in both 2001 and 2015. James co-created Street Market, a significant project in the post-graffiti movement that premiered at the Philadelphia ICA in 1999 and was later expanded at Deitch Projects in New York in 2000. A decade later, a re-creation of this installation became the centerpiece of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s record-setting Art in the Street exhibition in Los Angeles. He remains a pivotal and innovative figure in the graffiti scene.
