Talts, Rahel: New and Familiar

“New and Familiar” is the third album by Estonian jazz pianist and composer Rahel Talts, featuring 14 musicians, including strings, horns, a rhythm section, and vocals. Most of the music is instrumental, composed by Talts, with one track arranged from an Estonian folk melody. Active across Europe, particularly in Denmark, Lithuania, Germany, and Estonia, Rahel’s music is characterized by melodic compositions infused with Baltic and Nordic folk influences, delivering an energetic experience.
