What Shopify B2B actually costs in Canada (2026 prices in CAD)

What Shopify charges a Canadian fashion brand to sell wholesale, what the monthly fee leaves out, and when Plus earns its price.

If every wholesale account needs its own prices, Shopify B2B pricing in Canada is $3,650 CAD a month: Shopify Plus on a one-year term, per Shopify’s Canadian Plus pricing page, checked September 25, 2026. Regular plans from $37 a month (billed yearly) include B2B, but with three shared catalogs.

Syndicate builds wholesale fashion suppliers and distributors their own online stores, so we have a stake in what you choose. We’ve set out Shopify’s costs the way Shopify publishes them.

Why do fashion brands end up looking at Shopify Plus?

It usually starts with prices, not software. A boutique buys at one price, a department store at another, a distributor at a third. Each of them has a PDF with their own numbers on it, and somebody on your team has to remember which is which.

  • You keep several copies of the same linesheet, each with different prices, and the right one has to reach the right buyer every time.
  • Orders come back as emails, marked-up PDFs and spreadsheets, and each one is retyped before anything ships.
  • The catalogue changes mid-season, and orders keep arriving off last month’s PDF.
  • Buyers ask for repeats between appointments, and the answer waits until someone is free to reply.

If that’s your week, you’re looking for a store where each account logs in and sees its own prices. Shopify B2B is usually the first name that comes up, and whether you need Plus decides whether it costs $37 a month or $3,650. If you’d like to see how per-account pricing works outside Shopify, here’s how we build wholesale stores for fashion brands.

Do you need Shopify Plus for B2B, or will a regular plan do?

As of September 2026, B2B is on every Shopify plan. Shopify’s Help Center says most B2B features are available on Basic, Grow and Advanced as well as Plus, including companies, catalogs, net payment terms, self-serve ordering and Flow automations. The difference is how prices reach your accounts.

On Basic, Grow and Advanced, you get up to three active catalogs, and they’re assigned to B2B markets, not to individual accounts. Every account in the same market sees the same prices. Assigning a catalog directly to one company or location, so that each account has its own prices, is Plus-only. So are unlimited catalogs, deposits, partial payments and payment requests per fulfillment.

So the real question is how many price lists you actually run. If your accounts fall into three groups at most, say independents, key accounts and distributors, a regular plan may cover it. Shopify notes that lower plans need its new Markets setup to use B2B catalogs. If your prices are negotiated account by account, the answer is Plus, and the rest of this post is about what that costs.

What does Shopify Plus cost in Canada over one year and five years?

Shopify’s Canadian Plus pricing page, checked September 25, 2026, lists $3,650 CAD a month on a one-year term and $3,400 CAD a month on a three-year term. Plus isn’t sold month to month. According to Shopify’s Canadian pricing FAQ, you can cancel a Plus subscription when its term expires.

TermPer monthPer yearOver 5 years
1-year term$3,650$43,800$219,000
3-year term$3,400$40,800$204,000
CAD, platform fee only. Monthly rates from Shopify’s Canadian Plus pricing page, checked September 25, 2026. Yearly and five-year totals are our arithmetic and assume the rate stays the same at renewal.

Those are the flat fees. Shopify’s Plus pricing page also says that more complex, higher-volume businesses move to a variable platform fee based on revenue and business model, set with its sales team. If you’re a large brand, treat $3,650 as a floor, not a quote.

What doesn’t the $3,650 / month include?

The platform fee pays for the platform. Everything that makes it your wholesale store, and everything that happens when a buyer pays, sits on top.

  • Card fees. On orders your buyers pay by card through Shopify Payments, Shopify’s Canadian comparison table lists 2.15% + 30¢ online for standard cards, 3.15% + 30¢ for Amex and international cards, and 2.4% in person.
  • A fee for using another payment provider. The same table lists 0.2% on each order if you use a different provider instead of Shopify Payments, on top of that provider’s own fees.
  • Apps. We didn’t find a Shopify figure for what B2B stores typically spend on apps, so price the specific apps your ordering process needs.
  • Themes and custom development. Folio3, a Shopify development agency, says in its B2B FAQ that Plus covers core account, pricing and terms features out of the box, that custom apps fill gaps like quote workflows and approvals, and that it quotes after a discovery phase.

Wholesale orders are large, so card fees add up faster than they do in retail. Here’s what the Plus card rates come to on a few typical order sizes.

Order paid online by cardStandard card (2.15% + 30¢)Amex or international (3.15% + 30¢)
$500$11.05$16.05
$2,000$43.30$63.30
$5,000$107.80$157.80

How does $3,650 a month compare with JOOR?

JOOR’s pricing page, checked September 27, 2026, lists three plans without prices. Starter is for brands under $1M in annual wholesale revenue, then there’s Pro and Enterprise, each with a “Request Pricing” button. When we asked in September 2026, JOOR quoted us approximately $10,000 USD a year. We don’t know which plan that quote reflects, so don’t read it as the price of every JOOR plan.

Put side by side, a year of Plus on a one-year term is $43,800 CAD, and JOOR’s quote to us was about $10,000 USD. We haven’t converted one into the other, because the exchange rate moves and the two aren’t priced on the same basis.

JOOR’s case is worth hearing in its own words. Its pricing page says it takes no commission on orders, includes setup in every package, doesn’t require exclusivity, and gives Pro and Enterprise customers a dedicated client success manager. Its main argument is its network, which JOOR puts at more than 14,000 brands and 700,000 buyers in 150 countries. A Shopify store is where the buyers you already have, or bring yourself, place their orders. If finding new retail accounts is the problem, that difference matters more than the monthly fee.

When is Shopify Plus genuinely worth $3,650 a month?

Plus earns its price when you’d use the things only Plus does. For a fashion brand, that usually means pricing and payments.

  • Your accounts each have negotiated prices. Direct catalog assignment lets each account log in and see only its own prices, which replaces the stack of PDFs.
  • You take deposits or partial payments on orders. Shopify lists both as Plus-only.
  • Your team or footprint has outgrown Advanced. Advanced includes 15 staff accounts; Plus includes unlimited staff accounts, up to 9 free expansion stores and priority support.

Card rates alone rarely justify it. Plus saves 0.25 points on standard online cards compared with Advanced. That only covers the $3,261 monthly difference between Plus on a one-year term and Advanced billed yearly at about $1.3 million a month in card sales.

It isn’t worth it if your prices fit into three groups, or if you’d be paying $43,800 a year to get a single feature. Even Folio3, which builds B2B stores on Plus, answers its own question about whether a serious B2B operation needs Plus with “Not necessarily.”

What changed in 2026, and where can you check it yourself?

The change behind this post is recent. On April 2, 2026, Shopify’s changelog announced that key B2B features were available on Basic, Grow and Advanced at no additional cost: up to three active catalogs, company profiles, payment terms and volume pricing. Unlimited catalogs for customer-specific pricing, direct catalog assignment, partial payments and deposits stayed on Plus. Shopify’s Help Center page on B2B features by plan is the place to check the current split.

Not every guide has caught up. Skailama’s Shopify Plus pricing guide, published April 16, 2026, still lists B2B among Plus-exclusive features. If a guide tells you B2B means Plus, check its date against Shopify’s changelog.

Prices and plan features here were checked on Shopify’s and JOOR’s own pages in September 2026. Both change without notice, so confirm them at the linked pages before you sign a term.
