Editor’s note: The following recap contains spoilers for Fire Country Season 3 Episode 19.

Fire Country continues its emotional journey in the Season 3 finale, starting with a farewell breakfast at Station 42 for Jake ( Jordan Calloway ). Although it’s suggested that his new job is just a few counties away, the breakfast hints he may not be around much next season. This news is disheartening, as Jake is one of the standout characters on the show.

Meanwhile, Gabriela ( Stephanie Arcila ) takes a moment to revel in her new locker, but her celebration is cut short when Manny ( Kevin Alejandro ) finds Finn ( Blake Lee ) lurking around the station. Manny’s priority shifts to ensuring his daughter’s safety from her stalker, but Finn’s unexpected presence creates tension, leading to a fire emergency that requires immediate action from the first responders.

Manny tracks Finn to a remote gas station, calling Bode ( Max Thieriot ) for backup. After reporting Finn’s location to the authorities, the situation escalates when Finn speeds off, causing chaos at the gas station. Bode witnesses the stalker run over an attendant and knock over a sign, igniting a dangerous fire.

Three Rock is the first unit on the scene, but without an emergency water supply, the crew scrambles to contain the flames. Inside the gas station, a teenage girl named Inez is trapped, and the flames threaten to engulf her. Manny devises a risky plan to move a cage of propane tanks away from the fire using a Jeep. Despite the danger, he manages to pull the cage to safety just before it explodes.

Station 42 arrives with water to help control the fire, allowing Bode to break a window and activate the fire suppression system to rescue Inez. Unfortunately, he injures his knee in the process, sidelining him for the rest of the day.

As the threat from Finn looms, Gabs takes refuge at the Leone residence. Sharon recognizes that Gabs needs support and sends Audrey ( Levin Rambin ) to stay with her. Their time together is tense, especially when they hear noises that suggest Finn might be nearby. In a moment of panic, they search for any sign of danger, but overlook the gun Gabriela left on the table, which could have been crucial for their safety.

When Finn unexpectedly appears, he catches them off guard. He has a taser, escalating the situation further. Gabs attempts to negotiate with him, suggesting they take Audrey to the hospital, but her efforts are thwarted when Finn tases Audrey. Gabs desperately tries to reach for her gun while keeping Finn engaged in conversation about their future.

Just as Gabs is about to grab the gun, Finn realizes her plan and the tension escalates. A gunshot is heard, and Manny, who is outside, rushes in to find Gabs standing over a bleeding Finn. The implications of this moment could lead to serious consequences for Gabs and Manny, as they face a moral dilemma.

The gas station incident would have been enough for one day, but the story continues as the Station 42 team is called back into action for a wildfire. Bode, still nursing his injury, receives an alarming call from Walter ( Jeff Fahey ), warning him about the fire’s path towards a memory care facility.

Vince Contemplates His Successor in ‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Episode 19

Three Rock is back in operation after resolving the Oxalta case, and they begin the week with good news: Cole ( Tye White ) has been granted parole. However, the ominous tone of the show makes viewers wary of his fate. Vince ( Billy Burke ) grapples with the potential loss of Jake and considers various candidates to fill the role at Station 42.

With no suitable replacements in sight, Vince faces tough decisions. He contemplates promoting Bode or reaching out to Jake to reconsider his departure. Alternatively, Manny, who has reapplied to Cal Fire, may be the best fit for the station. As the Zable Ridge fire looms, the stakes are higher than ever for the crew.

The second part of the Fire Country Season 3 finale airs at 10 PM on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Stay tuned for our recap on Saturday morning.
