Johan Sundberg Arkitektur has unveiled images of a newly completed summer residence in Yngsjö, Sweden, situated amidst pine-covered hills along the Baltic Sea.

The residence features larch paneling that is rhythmically broken up by vertical pilasters, creating a visually pleasing facade.

The underside of the floating structure is elegantly concealed with triple-layered larch panels.

Consisting of a single volume oriented north-south, the house has a recessed central section facing west, which includes a sheltered terrace that enjoys the evening sun. The southern area, which contains the entrance, kitchen, and communal spaces, seamlessly connects with the surrounding nature.

The northern section, which houses more private areas, hovers above the landscape on slender pillars, allowing expansive bedroom windows to connect with the treetops.

The covered deck, designed for outdoor dining, also incorporates built-in storage.

Inside, the spaces are finished with oak flooring, trim, doors, and custom cabinetry.

The interior ceiling and its overhangs feature a cohesive, slender-profile larch surface that provides a calming and sound-absorbing atmosphere throughout the home.

The open-plan layout encompasses the living room, dining area, and kitchen, with wooden cabinets harmonizing with the wood elements found throughout the residence.

A hallway connects the communal areas with more private spaces, including bedrooms and bathrooms.

Wooden ceilings extend into the bedrooms, where large windows allow for ample natural light.

In another bedroom, a wall-mounted desk is complemented by shelving above.

One of the bathrooms features a wooden bench, with tiles adorning the walls and floors.
